Nowadays, the concept of “environmental protection, low-carbon, green and healthy†is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The general public is very concerned about the quality of household products, especially whether the formaldehyde standards of furniture meet the standards. According to many consumers, there are many problems in the sale of furniture on the market, and complaints can not solve any problems. The main ones are as follows: First, the product specifications are not standardized. Some furniture companies include some well-known brands without product manuals or product testing reports, and some product manuals are incomplete and non-standard. As early as 2004, China has mandated that furniture must be equipped with product manuals, and the contents of the instructions are clearly defined. Second, formaldehyde exceeded the standard. This problem has become a common phenomenon in the furniture industry. In recent years, in order to reduce the excessive use of natural raw materials, wood furniture has gradually become the main force of the furniture industry. Because the wood furniture materials use wood-based panels, the formaldehyde content is far. Exceeding the solid wood furniture, the seriousness of the standard is more affecting normal life and harming the health of the body. Third, complaint handling is difficult. At present, it is difficult to detect excessive formaldehyde in furniture. There are very few local testing institutions with corresponding qualifications, and the testing cost is not cheap. The cost of rights protection is relatively high, and even complaints are difficult to obtain satisfactory results.
Recommendations: First, relevant departments should strengthen supervision and investigation of the furniture industry. For products that are not equipped with product manuals, they are ordered to rectify within a time limit, and those who do not rectify must be punished according to law. The second is to strengthen the sampling inspection of the sales of furniture in the market. For products with excessive formaldehyde, the recall of the products is required, and it is strictly forbidden to sell in the market. The third is guided by the government, the industry and the market take the lead, establish and promote the first payment system, constrain the business operations, solve consumer complaints, difficult claims, and win the "lawsuit" implementation.
