Danish scientists invent new laser printing technology Color printing without ink

In recent days, Danish scientists have invented a new type of laser printing technology that uses the technology to print without ink and print out colors that last longer than ink.

Danish scientists claim that this technology, which can last long and maintain brilliant colors, will create new types of colors, and at the same time, it can also increase the security level of trademark printing.

According to foreign media reports, this new type of printing technology may become another choice for replacing inkjet printers, and it may set off a revolution in the color display field of the printing industry in the future.

Compared to traditional ink-jet printing, this new printing technology requires no paper and no ink, only plastic, enamel and a protective coating. In the printing process, the plastic (the surface shaped by a large number of micro-pillars) serves as the bottom layer; the thin film containing yttrium is then applied to the plastic and is heated by the laser to display a special color.

It is reported that this new printer produces more vivid color contrast and higher resolution. The printer produces an image resolution of 127,000 dpi; traditional laser printers print image resolutions of only about 20,000 dpi, and inkjet printers print images with a maximum resolution of 4,800 dpi.

Researchers at the Technical University of Denmark say that so far they have created a series of brown, red and blue colours. Although this new technology cannot present the color of the entire gradient chromatogram, there is still room for further improvement in the future.
