I. Project Background
1. In the electronic publishing system, digital maps provide direct data resources for multimedia electronic maps. Data sharing reduces the cost of electronic map development and shortens the cycle.
2. The maturity and development of multimedia technology and database technology have enabled multimedia electronic maps to have richer representations and functions.
3. Professional GIS systems are expensive to develop, esoteric and complicated in data and difficult to popularize among ordinary users.
The electronic version of the “Atlas of the Sustainable Development of the Yangtze River Economic Zone†came into being in response to this background. According to the concept of the Atlas of the Atlas and the Chengdu Institute of Mountain Disaster Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the electronic version of the Atlas is to publish the map in the early stage. Based on the data, the compressed layout, as a foreign language version of the hardcover edition, was issued to foreign countries, improved the Atlas's shirtability and operability, and kept up with the requirements of the information age, making this Atlas a diversified information product. At the same time, the print atlas and the electronic atlas of the optical disc can be completed at a low cost and in a relatively short period of time. According to this creative concept, our company actively organized the preparation and research work in light of the state of the existing technology and equipment. In the early stage of production of the atlas, we fully considered the design requirements of the electronic map, and developed the electronic publishing system data as Foundation, using multimedia authoring work and software development tools such as Authorware, 3D Studio Max, Vasical Basical, Foxpro, etc. for secondary development, studying the technical route of the electronic version of the atlas, determined to implement the map roaming, multi-scale scale window enlargement of vector graphics, The functions of sub-category inquiries and other functions are the research and development of multimedia electronic maps.
Second, the design and implementation of multimedia electronic map
1. Content Structure Design
The Atlas of Sustainable Development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is an open new type of atlas. It uses a block-type structure to reflect four levels from point-to-line, face-to-face, from the whole view of the river basin to the microscopic view of the central city.
1) From the macroscopic to the microcosm, to present a complete map of the Yangtze River with a series of maps of resources, economy and population in the whole basin;
2) The economic radiation circle along the Yangtze River is an economic zone with a traction radius. It is not only a regional complex but also a Yangtze River economic belt that affects each other and restricts each other.
3) Taking the cities along the center of the river as scattered points, highlighting the city's development and investment environment.
4) Based on pictures and texts, the construction of key projects in the Three Gorges Project will be introduced as a supplement to the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
At the time of design, the electronic version of the Atlas fully considered the arrangement of the atlas and the characteristics of the content. On the basis of the original plate-type structure, it fully utilized the multimedia display means and explained the words and sounds, the structure of the plate structure, and the entire Yangtze River Economic Belt. Watersheds, districts, and urban remote sensing image presentations are given to give a rough introduction and demonstration. Make readers have a clearer and more intuitive understanding of the framework and theme content of the entire atlas.
At the time of reading, the electronic version of the atlas is mainly composed of four large groups of maps. In the form of maps, illustrations, and query items, the tree-like branches and nesting structures are used to hierarchically display the contents. The structure is illustrated as follows:
2 Data Processing and Graphic Design
2.1 Map data processing
As a visual digital map product, electronic maps are based on the basic features of reading on a computer screen. The screen displays the speed, the zoom speed is directly related to the amount of map data, and its storage medium CD-ROM space is limited. All of these factors make electronic map data and published digital map data for purposes different in terms of data volume and representation. Therefore, for the characteristics of electronic maps, digital maps must undergo data processing and drawing redesign, and follow the following principles:
1) Under the premise of ensuring that the drawing surface is not distorted, the data size should be compressed as much as possible, and the vectorization collection density should be thinned out;
2) On the basis of maintaining a clear and complete legend system, remove as much as possible special effects such as gradients, transparency, glows, shadows, and solids that were designed to increase the appearance of the artwork in the original image, simplifying the lines and symbols, and creating beautiful surfaces. Complex digital content with clear content and small amount of data;
3) For the computer screen features and color characteristics, adjust the color design of the Atlas surface, so that it is color-coordinated and soft, clear, and suitable for screen reading without losing the original appearance;
4) According to the size of the computer screen, adjust the layout of the map, re-design drawings;
5) According to the multi-scale scale opening window enlargement function, related maps are used for point, line and area element classification editing;
6) Under the premise of ensuring a clear display, compress the image size and resolution to reduce the storage space, the screen display image resolution is usually 72-90dpi to meet the requirements.
2.2 Multimedia Data Processing and Synthesis
Multimedia data processing mainly includes the following aspects:
1) Audio editing: recording and editing various audio information, usually Wave Studio, Cooledit, Cakewalk, etc.
2) Video editing: You can use video capture card to capture from video tape. Common editing software includes Premiere, Cool3D, 3D Studio Max, Direct, Flash and so on.
The prologue demonstration section of the Atlas fully utilizes the above multimedia materials, and combines the title, prologue, map module, and end-of-paper with the multimedia synthesis software Authorware to form the overall framework of the atlas. Similar multimedia synthesis software includes Direct, Founder, etc.
3. System design and process flow
The electronic version of the Atlas uses Windows as the development platform, and uses Atlas, Visual Basical, Foxpro, multimedia authoring software, Authorware, 3D Stadio Max, and other tools for secondary development and production. The entire system is divided into data integration, data analysis, and data conversion. Module.
The data integration module is responsible for data entry. It organizes vector data and raster data in the form of graph groups. Each graph group is composed of maps of different topics, each of which can be divided according to content, connecting multiple illustrations, illustrations and illustrations, illustrations and diagrams. The web can be circularly linked. Multimedia information including videos, pictures, text charts and the like are classified and combined in a relational database, and are classified in a corresponding database. Topological relationships can be established in the diagram, creating hot spots of points, lines, areas, and associated multimedia information.
The data parsing module enables the user to read the required map information and multimedia information from the data file during the application, realize the user split display with a friendly interface, multi-level scale display, display by type, etc., and customize according to the user's selection. Interface structure.
The data conversion module converts the data format under the electric publishing system into geographic information data recognized by the system, and has the characteristics of fast access speed and display speed.
The process design process is as follows:

Third, functional characteristics analysis
The electronic version of the Atlas has the following features in addition to maintaining the atlas of prints.
1. Strong interactivity, guided reading function, rich expression means, set of text, pictures, sounds, activities in one, intuitive, dynamic, and visual communication of map information.
2. There is no need to call professional GIS software and create a large map database to implement simple type queries, index queries, area queries, and route queries for maps.
3. It can realize map zoom-in, zoom-out, full-view browsing, multi-level scale enlargement, multimedia database linking, hierarchical, and classification display, and meet the requirements of general atlas reading.
4. The interface design is concise, clear, beautiful, easy for non-professionals to use, and can adjust the proportion of the interface window layout according to reader preferences.
Fourth, prospects
The multimedia electronic map is a comprehensive application of digital mapping technology, multimedia technology, and database technology. It integrates various kinds of information such as text, graphics, images, sounds, animations, videos, etc., and intuitively, visually, and dynamically describes space environment information.
Although with the continuous development of GIS and database technology, electronic maps and GIS based on databases will become the mainstream and development direction of future electronic map technologies. However, as another product form of digital maps, digital map production dominated by electronic publishing systems. In the system, multimedia electronic maps still have a wide application base and good market prospects because of their data sharing advantages, low cost, and short-term characteristics.
A pet harness is equipment consisting of straps of webbing that loop nearly around-that fasten together using side release buckles-the torso of an animal.
These harnesses generally are made to have both a strap on the chest in front of the forelimbs, and a strap around the torso behind the forelimbs, with straps in between connecting these two. Having a D-ring suitable for (pet tags and) a leash to clip to, they are most often used to restrain an animal, but dogs also particularly wear them to assist a person with a disability or haul people and items. There is also the lifting harness for dogs with disabilities, covered in this article.
Some come in different sizes, although many are size-adjustable with tri-glide slides to loosen or shorten the straps` length. The straps may come in a range of different colors, and some have reflective coating.
