Setting print parameters (11)

Eleven, network automatic reminder print setting method

In order to give full play to the functions of the local area network, many users will try to use network printers to allow other users in the LAN to share the printing function. However, because the network printer queues all the print jobs in a sequential order, it is difficult to determine when the printing materials will be printed. According to the conventional method, you may often go to the network printer to check. Obviously this method is very troublesome. In fact, if everyone is using the Windows 2000/XP system, you can use the following method to let the network printer automatically remind you when to complete the printing task:

1, first in the Windows 2000/XP system desktop, click the "Start" / "Settings" command with the mouse, and then open the "Printer" or "Printers and Faxes" window;

2. In this window, you can click on the currently available network printer icon. In the subsequent network printer settings window, execute the "File"/"Server Properties" command in the menu bar, followed by the properties In the settings interface, use the mouse to select the "Advanced" tab;

3, then the system will pop up an advanced tab page, where you can select the "notify when remote document printing is completed" option, so that the printer will send a message to the user when printing a specified task. If everybody will “notify the user when the remote document is printed, the user will not notify the user”, the network printer will notify the user of the print message. If this option is selected, the system will notify the designated computer of the print message.
