Hardcover book processing commonly used materials include book block processing materials and book shell processing materials in two parts. The specification of these materials should be based on the size, thickness, and form of the book block, the type of book cover, and the thickness of the book cover materials. It should also be calculated with reference to the features of the entire book binding structure and form. From the point of view of aesthetics and firmness, certain dimensions (such as the width of the edging, the width of the binding between the book back and the book shell, and the thickness of the bookcase cardboard) should vary with the size of the book block and the thickness of the book block. .

1. Book shell material calculations. There are two types of hardcover bookcases, the whole bookcase and the interface bookcase. They are composed of front and back coverboards, medium-diameter paper and wrapping material. Its specifications and materials are calculated as follows.
