Another example is tea packaging, two bags of 150 grams of tea, one foot more than a square box containing a refined wooden box, the box is covered with a layer of foam plastic, plastic lined with a layer of yellow silk, silk is two fine Tin cans, opened tin cans, inside is a vacuum bag, inside the bag is tea. Like moon cakes, tea and exquisite packaging boxes, throw away, it is too wasteful; keep it, it can not send any use.

When does the "naked body" change?

In contrast, in the supermarkets of shopping malls, bulk frozen food, cakes, pickles, candied fruit, bulk foods, etc. are “naked naked”. There is no packaging, no hygiene requirements, and customers buy plastic bags after loading. This problem also exists in the market or farmers' market. On the one hand, there is an excessive luxury package, and on the other hand, a large number of foods that require certain packaging are “naked” without packaging.

The contrast between China and Japan is profound

Japan is a country that lacks forests and attaches great importance to resource conservation. The matches used by Japanese hotels were affixed with 78 matches on a small piece of cardboard. How much wood? There is also an equally surprising figure. At present, the amount of packaging waste in China constitutes more than 30% of urban waste, while the amount of packaging waste in Japan constitutes 22% of urban waste. A large proportion of these packaging wastes in China are caused by over-packaging of luxury goods. If we look at it from a different perspective, the cost of waste disposal for a megacity like Shanghai will be as much as one billion yuan each year if we reduce 10%. Packaging waste can save hundreds of millions of dollars.

Packaging safety needs urgent attention

Excessive packaging causes waste and causes concern from all walks of life, and the issue of packaging safety deserves more attention. At present, the most prominent packaging security is the long-term “close contact” of packaging plastic bags made from recycled plastics. People call it “black pollution” and it is worrying. About 24,000 tons of plastic bags are used in Shanghai each year, half of which are recycled plastic bags produced by small workshops. Although recycled plastics are processed at high temperatures, harmful substances in plastics cannot be completely eliminated. On the contrary, chemical pigments, additives, stabilizers, etc. may become toxic substances that may harm the human body through thermal decomposition. On the other hand, environmental pollution is caused. These recycled plastic bags cannot be processed and buried in the soil for decades without oxidation. The relevant government departments should legislate to stop the production of recycled plastic bags.

Japan and Europe attach great importance to the safety of packaging. In recent years, export of cardboard boxes to China has to detect metal chemical content. Exports exceeding the standard are not allowed to export. However, China does not have such awareness and feel new things.

Develop standardized scientific packaging

At present, we have some misunderstandings about packaging. On the one hand, there is excessive packaging, and on the other, we ignore packaging for some products, or ignore the security of packaging. In this sense, our packaging needs a scientific concept and requires scientific development.

Since the 1990s, the issue of commodity packaging has caused the attention of developed countries such as Europe, Japan, and the United States. In December 1994, the European Union Council passed the "Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive" to harmonize and harmonize relevant national legislation. At present, there are mainly three types of foreign control methods for over-packaging:

The first category is standard control, which sets limits for the volume of the package, the gap between the package and the product, the number of packages, the cost of the package, and the value of the product.

The second category is the control of economic measures, such as the collection of packaging taxes on non-paper-based packaging and on packaging that does not meet the requirements for recycling. In addition, the use of garbage metering fees leads consumers to choose simple packaging.

The third category is to increase the producer’s responsibility and stipulate that the commodity producer is responsible for recycling the commodity packaging. Usually, a deposit system can be used to entrust relevant commercial organizations to recycle the packaging.

It seems that our product packaging also needs to have corresponding scientific norms, and legislation can move toward scientific management. For packaging safety issues, we must first comprehensively stop harmful materials as food packaging (including recycled plastic bags and known harmful substances such as formaldehyde), and establish a food packaging declaration system. At the same time, strengthen inspections and inspections in the health, quality inspection, and industry and commerce departments, and incorporate helium packaging into the government's annual monitoring.
