Purpose: Measurements that are usually performed with an ammeter or the like cannot measure transient load current fluctuations or startup currents. However, the memory recorder can be used with a clamp-on current sensor to easily measure with waveform levels.
Key points:
Trigger current is used to trigger with a clamp current sensor. The current value can be read directly using the conversion ratio function. The clamp current sensor used is the Model 9018. The output rate is AC500A→AC200mV. In addition, the tracking cursor can be used to measure the maximum value and the time of the inrush current. Finally, the parameter calculation function is used to obtain the maximum value.
1) Record length setting
Depending on the load setting, this is set to 0.5 seconds, 10 DIV at 50 ms/DIV.
2) Input range setting
The output of the clamp current sensor used is AC200Mv, so the range is set to 50mV/DIV and the zero position is set to 50%.
3) Conversion ratio setting
Select 2-point conversion on the system conversion ratio setting screen, as shown in Figure 5-12. The conversion ratio is valid. Invalid through the ENG setting, set to 10 times 3 times 6 units, so it can be read in K?M?G units.

6) Execution of the maximum value operation
Select the parameter operation in the status (setting) screen and set it to ON to specify only the channel 1 operation. Because there is data residual, move the blinking cursor to the place where the parameter operation is ON, then the GUI of the function key displays the execution key and press it. The result of the maximum value is displayed on the screen.
