Integral seal sleeve

Igus has recently introduced a new sealing plastic engineering sleeve for high temperature environments (up to 150°C). This highly wear-resistant engineering plastic sliding sleeve is made of polymer iglidur V400 with an integral fluorocarbon sealing ring. Iglidur V400 is highly chemically resistant and is known for its low water absorption. Like all self-lubricating igus bearings, this material is maintenance-free and corrosion-free.

By combining a plain bearing with a radial seal ring, the new high-temperature seal bearing is very suitable for applications with rotating and oscillating motion. Bearings and seals can also be combined with other materials, depending on the specific application requirements. The radial seal ring is clamped and held against the rotating shaft so that dirt, dust and splashing liquid cannot enter the other side of the bearing. This makes it possible to use in extremely harsh environments: for example in the engine room or in the chemical industry.

Installation space is minimized. The customer's assembly workload is also reduced at the same time. (Wu Wei)
