Reasons for printing image colors to be processed

Printing is composed of a complex set of technological processes and is a highly technical task. The computer pre-press design has special computer software, and the color operation processing technology that exists in it has a crucial impact on the quality of our printed products. Works can meet the printing requirements, so that color deviation will not affect the quality of the finished product.

Color is an important part of graphic design elements, and color image processing technology has entered a new era. The small printing factory founded by Artron Printing in 1993 first proposed that “printing is an industry combining culture and technology, which is traditional printing + IT technology + culture and art”. Let us realize that the development trend of graphic art design is carried out under the overall planning of printing technology and printing process. It requires designers not only to have superb design skills and unlimited innovative aesthetic awareness, but also to be comprehensive and complete Understand the characteristics and technological process of modern printing technology, and fully combine the art design and printing process to create a print with elegant style and endowing with national cultural connotation.

Reasons for printing image colors to be processed

1. The color and tone range of the printed matter are quite different from the color and tone range of the original

First of all, the offset printing process can not get all the colors in nature, but only a part of the colors. This is caused by the inks, papers used in the printing process and many defects in the printing process. The yellow, magenta, cyan, and black inks actually used in printing have defects in the range of colors presented, and the spectral absorption curves of ideal yellow, magenta, and cyan cannot be achieved, that is, the true color appearance of nature cannot be achieved. The actual ink not only absorbs light in the spectral region that should be absorbed, but also absorbs light in other spectral regions. The direct consequence of this harmful absorption is that the hue and saturation of the ink are far from the ideal primary colors, and the printed matter is Ink is used to express hue and gradation, so the quality of the ink rendering performance directly affects the fidelity of the original copy. Printing with primary color inks with "extra" absorption will inevitably create "color shift" and greatly compress the colored areas of the printed matter. The reason for this defect of ink is mainly due to the limitations of pigments and manufacturing processes. The "extra" absorption of yellow ink is the least, so the color rendering performance is the best, magenta ink is second, and cyan ink is the second. The color performance is the worst.

Secondly, the highlight part of the printed matter is formed by the color of the paper, that is to say, the paper also participates in the formation of color. If the whiteness of the paper is different, it will affect the brightness and saturation of the colors in the highlights of the screen, which in turn will affect the color contrast of the screen. Similarly, it is also related to the texture of the paper. Newsprint is a porous material, and the ink is easily absorbed by the fibers, which causes a high degree of light scattering on the printed surface and reduces the printing density. The black areas should not be black enough, and smooth, coated In the offset paper, the ink is absorbed on the surface, and the light is scattered very little, so that the dark tone is "darker" and lacks layering.

In addition, the screening method used in printing also affects the range of tones. In the process of plate making and printing, the highlights and dark tones are easily polarized, that is, the details of highlights and dark tones are easily lost.

Based on the above reasons, it is almost impossible for us to achieve the same tone density range for the printed matter and the original picture. Therefore, the density correspondence between the original and the printed matter must be adjusted so that the printed product exhibits the best compromise effect. Under normal circumstances, the density of the original can reach 3.0 or higher, and the density of the printed matter can only reach 1.8 or 2.0, the density range is far less than the density range of the original, so how can the printed matter truly restore the original, or how to restore it better, This is a shortcoming of the current printing process, which can only be compressed.

Photo Frame

A picture frame is a protective and decorative edging for a picture, such as a painting or photograph. It makes displaying the work safer and easier and both sets the picture apart from its surroundings and aesthetically integrates it with them.

A picture frame is a container that borders the perimeter of a picture, and is used for the protection, display, and visual appreciation of objects and imagery such as photographs, canvas paintings, drawings and prints, posters, mirrors, shadow box memorabilia, and textiles.

Traditionally picture frames have been made of wood, and it remains very popular because wood frames can provide strength, be shaped in a broad range of profiles, and allow a variety of surface treatments. Other materials include metals, e.g. silver, bronze, aluminum, and stiff plastics such as polystyrene.

A frame surface may be of any color or texture. Both genuine gilding and imitation gold remain popular, although many other surfaces are to be found in most framing establishments. Some picture frames have elaborate moldings, which may refer to the subject matter. Intricate decorations are often made of molded, then gilded plaster over a wood base.

Picture frame mouldings come in a wide variety of profiles, generally in some sort of L shape with an upward "lip" and a horizontal rabbet. The rabbet functions as a shelf to hold the frame glazing (if any is to be used), some sort of spacer or mat/matte to keep the object safely behind the inner surface of the glazing, the object itself, and backing boards to protect the object from physical damage and environmental pollutants. The lip extends a proportionate distance up from the edge of the rabbet. It restrains materials in the frame and can be used to help set off or reveal the picture aesthetically.
