The "Graphic Printing Technique" of the Millennium in China

On November 30th, Wang Zhenlu, an engraving artist in the ancient city of Guangling, Yangzhou City, used a brush to write samples. The Guangling Ancient Engraving Society of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, which has gone through 50 years of history, still inherits the most original “engraving and printing” techniques of writing, engraving, printing, and binding. At present, the company has nearly 300,000 pieces of ancient engravings since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has used traditional "engraving techniques" to engrave more than 5,000 ancient books in line, becoming the country's largest wire-bound book processing base. In September 2009, "engraving and printing techniques" was included in the list of representatives of human intangible cultural heritage. "Etatography Printing" was invented in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties. Yangzhou is one of the birthplaces of Chinese engraving and printing, and it is also the only city in China that preserves a complete set of ancient "engraving printing process".
